Sobering Revelation
Just this past weekend I read a publication by an evangelist. It was about revival. I read how God is a covenant keeping God, and that we as Christians need to keep our end of the bargin in order for God to do his part.
He (the author) made a statement so calk-packed full of the truth that I had no choice but to accept it. Before I reveal to you what was writen in that pamphlet of 50 some-odd pages, I wish to bring your attention to a post I made a few months back. The one entitled "The pot calling the kettle black," or something lke that. I stated that it is the moral decay that will bring America down the same way it brought down Rome.
The sobering truth that I read is that it isn't rampant liberalism or total abandonment of what's right that's hurting our country or the souls of the people that abide therein, but rather the powerlessness and of us so called Christians who talk a good game concerning salvation and right doing, but lack the spirituality and relationship with God, which are necessary for a true relationship with God.
I won't say that all Christians are like that. I know for a fact that my pastor isn't. I will say that I am one who fits this category and I'd venture to say that most Christians do, though it's nothing more than an opinion based on what I've seen in my limited life thus far and understanding.
Well, I want to change. I want to confess Christianity with a pure and righteous heart which can only be accomplished when Jesus becomes a reality in your life.
If there are any Christians out there reading this that don't fit the aforementioned category, then I ask that you pray for me. If you do fit this category, pray for yourself first, then pray for me, and I will be sure to pray for you all after I've prayed for myself.
'Till next time.
