In one ear, out the other.

I can't help but be amazed at how much people respond negatively to a Christian's viewpoint on current events. It's as if the majority believe that Christians shouldn't have an opinion, but rather walk around saying "God Bless You" to everyone they see.

I believe God helped me understand that we as Christians can't afford to be offended by the negative thoughts and ideas others have of us. There are too many people that want to know Christ as their savior and don't. Our nation, which was founded on Christianity, now embraces many of the things contraty to God. Folks, we don't need to be offended. We can't afford to judge or condemn. We must pray. Pray for ourselves, loved ones, neighbors, our city, our state, our country, our world. The reality is: God is in charge, not our peers. In the end, we'll have to answer to God.

And no, I don't think myself to be some great spiritual being. If you all knew all the times in which I've missed the mark by a mile - and that's putting it mildly - even currently, you would absolutely be shocked (maybe). But does that mean I should give up. Of course not. So I keep striving for perfection - though impossible it may be - so that one day my prayers will be heard by him who's opinion of me really matter.
